You live in a house in the middle of the Mojave. The sun shines relentlessly, trees and tall foliage are sparse. You do not have solar panels anywhere on your property. What?! Why not? Yeah, but these people who are rejecting solar energy on a larger scale are all using little solar lawn lights in their front yards. The center of the town’s economy, the Twentynine Palms military base, has a large passive solar installation. I don’t get it, adopting change but only selectively?
